Angulo: “We keep on collecting points away from home and that’s important”
VCF Mestalla head coach, Miguel Ángel Angulo assessed the 1-1 draw away to Elche Ilicitano in post-match on VCF Media.
“It was a typical game between two b teams who have great players, who are well organised and contest for every piece of play. These are two very competitive sides. It’s been a game with plenty of tussles for the ball and devoided of football.
Each side played it to their respective strengths in the best possible way. We went in front and we wanted to seal the game, it’s a shame that they scored in the closing minutes from a deadball situation.
The feeling is that the team have put a great shift in to take all three points, but we come away with one.
We keep on collecting points away from home and that’s important, above all against a side who I think will be amongst the top eight.
We had a tough test today and we have another tough test coming up on Saturday against another side who are title contenders.
Now is time to rest up and focus on how to beat Atzeneta UE on Saturday”.
